Presidential Peace Adviser Hermogenes Esperon Jr. briefs FOCAP on the GRP-MILF peace talks

If the Supreme Court rules against the draft memorandum of agreement between the Philippine government and the Moro Islamic Liberation Front (MILF), they will have to renegotiate, Presidential Peace Adviser Hermogenes Esperon Jr. told the Foreign Correspondents’ Association of the Philippines (FOCAP) on a day before the scheduled oral arguments at the Supreme Court on August 15, 2008. Until then, however, he remains optimistic about the peace talks. Will post the notes later on this page.
